Alex, Mallory & Ashlyn - Kid Session

We had a ton of fun at this session. Kids shoots are always great because they are so spontaneous. Although challenging at times, the results are always priceless. Just look at these two siblings and their cousin and tell me they aren't absolutely adorable! We couldn't believe how well they did on this Saturday morning with the temperature just peaking over 40!

Thank you guys for allowing us to enjoy capturing your precious little ones!

Just as the session was ending we were able to grab this candid of Ashlyn leaning upside down in her mother's arms...does it show off those baby blues or what?!

David - Senior Portraits

Meet David! We met bright and early and fortunately there was beautiful light that morning. Here's just a few of the many great relaxed portraits we were able to capture. Looking forward to sharing them all with you David! Thanks for a great session!

Family Portraits

We headed up to the Blue Ridge Parkway for this family session and wouldn't you know it? Apparently it's a bit cooler up there, who would have thought? Nevertheless, we were able to capture this family having a great time up in the mountains. The views and colors were terrific, and the kids had a great time making leaf piles and the like!

Just getting warmed up...

For some fun!

Christy & Brian - Wedding

We've been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time now. Then, a few days before the big day, the weather forecast started to look crummy... and the day of the wedding it was raining all morning. About noon the rain turned to drizzle and by 2 o'clock all was looking bright. Finally the sun peeked out and gave us a gorgeous afternoon to capture an amazing outdoor wedding!

The wedding was held at Sweet Briar College and the fall colors were spectacular. The ceremony took place on the deck of the boathouse and was the perfect venue for a beautiful fall wedding. Both the bride and groom looked terrific for their special day!

One of the coolest things about this wedding was that the groom actually catered his own wedding...and we've got the pictures to prove it! The food and details were incredible and made for a great reception. Congratulations to you guys and thank you for letting us be part of your day!

While Christy was getting ready,

Brian was hard at work in the kitchen

He had to recruit some help, but it turned out great!

They even had plenty of time to kick back and relax before the main event

Some easy, relaxed portraits - first of the groom...

...and then some of the bride

Love this sweet moment just before the kiss

Delightful details!

The night of dancing started off sweet

And eventually reverted to some good 'ole dice throwing!
